WE are a generous mid-sized, ELCA Lutheran multi-generational family dedicated to growing disciples by sharing God’s love. Although our teen ministry only demands 30 hours at this time we are looking for someone with other talents so that we can expand this position to full time. Minimum Qualifications:
2 years experience in a leading teen ministry (7th – 12th grades)
Experience leading confirmation
Background in teen ministry to include planning retreats, mentoring teens in a strong Christian lifestyle, and implementing weekly teen group.
Knowledge of Lutheran theology and Christian education required

Duties as Assigned:
Develop relationships with all teens beyond church programs.
Mentor teens in a strong Christian lifestyle.
Attend weekly staff meetings and teen ministry meetings.
Contribute to the ministry of the whole church as assigned.
Plan, lead, and implement weekly teen group.
Perform administrative duties in support of teen ministry.
Plan and lead teen ministry retreats.
Participate in worship and congregational events.
Plan and lead Sunday morning teen gatherings.
Lead confirmation and Jr High ministry programs.
Participate in Teen Ministry Team.
Additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Preach and teach effectively

Recruit and lead teams
Effectively communicate programs and gospel clearly to all ages
Administer program budget
Intermediate MS Office skills
