Job Description:

Title: Marketing Specialist/Project Coordinator

Generally:

Wycliffe Associates is a ministry, and our mission is a special calling. Wycliffe Associates trains Christians all over the world to become Bible translators and we seek to safeguard the integrity of the Scriptures through that process. While specific skills and experience are a major part of this role, what is most important to Wycliffe Associates, and to the lord, is a person’s heart. The person who fills this role should have a special calling from the Lord for ministry. In this role you are considered a minister of the gospel. For such a high calling, our lives and values should reflect that pure and holy calling. As we are told in 1 Peter 1:15-16, “But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’” 


Position Summary:

Coordinates marketing and communications projects, the production of materials, writes marketing copy, and assists with projects and activities for marketing products or services by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates various projects in the marketing and communications department as assigned.
2. Coordinates scheduled work and projects with outside vendors as assigned. 
3. Coordinates the creation and production of marketing and communications materials as assigned, including contracting vendors and working with writers, designers, printers, and consulting agency.
4. Coordinates the creation and production of communications for social media and online marketing campaigns.
5. Writes dynamic copy for WA’s website, social media campaigns, and other projects as assigned.
6. Supports website link building efforts for SEO, ensures links are current, and maintains a blog.
7. Conducts interviews and gathers research for communications and marketing materials as requested.
8. Gathers project updates on funding projects and keeps department’s Project Funding log up to date.
9. Coordinates marketing and communications team documents and resources on shared site.
10. Drafts and edits correspondence and reports in the marketing area.
11. Maintains a schedule of activities for the marketing & communications department.
12. Produce purchase orders for approval, process invoices for payment and maintain other special projects as assigned in the marketing & communications department.

Education, prior work experience, and/or specialized skills and knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or three to four-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be adept at learning new software tools and should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
