About Southridge Church

We are a community of believers committed to seeking God’s will for our lives, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, and serving in the Kingdom of God.

OUR CORE BELIEFS

We believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that there is one God, maker of Heaven and Earth, who exists eternally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who being fully God and fully human, was born, died on the cross, rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven for the forgiveness of our sins and that we might have eternal life.

We believe in the Holy Spirit that lives within us so we might be empowered by the salvation Jesus paid for and experience God’s many blessings.

We believe the Bible to be the Word of God and the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of all people. It is the divine authority for all Christian life and faith.

We believe in the power of prayer and the authority we have, through our faith in Jesus Christ, to communicate in this way to our Lord in all circumstances we face.

We believe in the gathering of the church body in a worshipping community and welcome all those who desire to join us to share in our faith journey.

We believe the distinguishing mark of a Christian is found in faith exemplified in a love and commitment to God, and care and compassion toward our neighbor.

We believe in the significance of the family and the sanctity of marriage which is a covenantal relationship between a man and a woman.

We believe Jesus will return, and that until He does, we as a community of believers will spread the good news of the Gospel and strive to see God’s kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven.

VALUES

Jesus is the center.

We love God and we love people. We are contributors not consumers. We bring people up to send people out. We have an attitude of gratitude.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Connection

Come as you are! We care about you and your walk with God and we are blessed to minister to people on every walk of life. Whether you’re single, married, young, seasoned, families with children to families with teenagers, at Southridge we offer incredible opportunities to engage and grow no matter where you fall on the spectrum. We want to be a part of that journey in any way we can!

Worship

Worship is the fuel for discipleship! We believe in creating a throne of worship for God to rest upon when we meet, whether you join with us in person or online. We also believe that worship is as much personal as it is collective, so you will see people worshipping through singing, dancing, raising their hands, and praying. We invite you to worship how you feel comfortable. God loves it all!

Teaching

We believe the Bible is God’s word to light our path. All our teaching, whether a Sunday sermon, Bible Studies or Children’s programming is rooted in scripture, even when the topics are uncomfortable.
